BoCo (finally) "waives" use taxes

County Commissioners come through, but still many questions

It's a long time coming, but Boulder County has waived the use taxes for homeowners that are rebuilding. This could not have happened without residents demanding that their government listen and understand the financial challenges homeowners have when it comes to rebuilding. Every single dollar matters.

But - there are still questions on how and when. Also, this is not actually going to be processed as a waiver - but more like a grant. That could subject the recipients to withholding taxes, which is asinine.
