Waldo Canyon Fire - 10 year anniversary

Honored to have been invited to and given a chance to speak at the 10 year anniversary of the Waldo Canyon fire. Colorado Springs Together was formed days after the fire and was instrumental in the recovery effort. We modeled Superior Rising after CST and keep going to them for advice.

The folks in attendance had amazing things to say about Mayor Bach and Bob Cutter - probably the two people that had the biggest impact on the recovery speed. The irony of the weather (cool, rainy, cloudy), wasn’t lost on anyone relative to the 50-60 mph winds that took a small fire and made it an inferno.
